Nothing surprising here, except for the tummy rub. Clearly embellishment. No self respecting Border Collie would allow such indulgence. More believable would have been reporter's help with a particularly entangled thistle honorably earned on the fell. You can see high intelligence in his eyes...Merle's that is.
