No Commercial Meat is More Efficient Than Chicken

No commercial meat is produced with higher feed efficiency, and at a faster rate, than that of chicken.

  1. Dear Patrick,
Efficient on one economic measure, yes. If we measure animal welfare, ecological wholesomeness and/or chicken worker satisfaction: not so good.

  2. Chickens are not too bad environmentally. I think animal welfare and worker conditions are not great for any animal that we eat. What interesting with chickens is they prefer dark to light, inside rather than outside, etc. n I think we judge their lives using our standards rather than theirs. Not my own observation, but Temple Grandin's >>>https://terriermandotcom.blogspot.com/2015/07/temple-grandin-on-what-concerns-chicken.html
