I heard about her passing while I was listening to President Obama's press conference on the radio. It was a shock, because (like most of us) I had no idea she had been ill.

ReplyDeleteI don't usually take the death of people I don't personally know this hard. Maybe it's because I believe we so desperately need her voice right now...so intelligent, measured, patient, wise. She was an excellent mentor to up and coming journalists, also very much needed at this point in time. This is a huge loss to the 4th estate and the integrity of news and reporting in this country. RIP Gwen, you are truly missed.
