Great Blue Heron Surveys the World



The Great Blue Heron can be found as far North as Alaska, and across the Caribbean and Central America, and as far away as the Galápagos Islands.  This one was photographed along the Potomac River yesterday.

The Great Blue is the largest heron in the America's and the third largest in the world.
