Information on working terriers, dogs, natural history, hunting, and the environment, with occasional political commentary as I see fit. This web log is associated with the Terrierman.com web site.
We had at one point a cat-killing dog who unfortunately encouraged the rest. We didn't have cats and our dogs didn't stray through the neighbourhood, but a surprising fraction of the local cats had a fatal attraction to our yard.
The worst was when two tom cats decided to settle a grudge on the rood of the shed abutting the back wall and rolled off... There were two screams and then there was silence. Not good times.
No owners ever came looking for their cats though.
My little black and white JRT Max goes after the cat- this same scenario has played out in our house. Max can jump higher than that though...
