Forest Cycle

It's very warm today -- mid 60s rising to low 70s. The dogs and I knocked about for a few hours without finding too much. And yet, is there ever a day in field or forest that is wasted? In a small picture of a yellow mushroom on the forest floor, the entire cycle of life can be observed.

  1. Looks like a Bolete. Were the gills sponge-like? Very common and for the most part not poisonous. Some varieties are absolutely delicious.
