No One Is as Irish as Barack Obama

Barack O'Bama is far more Irish than most Americans.

In a previous post, I noted that my grandparents, and Barack Obama's grandparents, both on our mother's side, came from the same town in Kansas, lived six blocks from each other, attended the same Methodist Church, and worked in the same company (the local oil refinery).

Now comes a picture of Barack's great, great, great grandfather, Fulmoth Kearney, who was born in Moneygall, Ireland and died March 21, 1878 in Kansas, and is buried in the Labette County’s Fairview Cemetery, with his wife, Charlotte. See the resemblance?

And, of course, today is more than Saint Patrick's Day. It's also Nat King Cole's birthday!  He was born on this day in 1919. One of the greatest voices ever.
