Spike Buck in the Front Yard


This spike buck was in the front yard this morning, standing on my recently laid sod. Photo was shot through the glass of the front door and the screen of the storm door with my cell phone. Not a bad picture, considering that!

    Had one like that almost run me down last week sneaking away from my beagles who were running a rabbit near where he was bedded. He stopped and stared at me from eight yards,blew,then bounced to 40 yards and looked at me some more. I was sure my pups would run him right to me and get the lesson of their lives,but they were doing the right thing.
