The AKC "Museum of the Dog" celebrates the intellectual exploits of "Jim the Wonder Dog," but never once mentions that the dog was not a breed recognized by the AKC, or that what was going on here was a canine version of the "Clever Hans Effect."
Was this an intentional omission, or simply a writer not too well boiled in the history of animal training, or both?
