Naked Prostitution from the AVMA

The American Veterinary Medical Association's Smart Brief this morning has the following subject line: "Lyme Disease - Preparing for the Global Risk".

One guess as to who "sponsored" this email:  Duramune Lyme, which is the maker of the "vaccine" for Lyme disease.

Here's what they do not tell you:

• Most of the country has a very low prevalence of Lyme disease.
• Most of the dogs that get Lyme are asymptomatic.
• Lyme disease is not easy to catch, and it's easy to treat.
• The Lyme vaccine is expensive, and only good for a year.

As I note in an earlier post entitled The Billion Dollar Lyme Disease Scam,

"Lyme disease vaccines and testing, as well as Lyme treatment of asymptomatic dogs, is a huge scam costing American dog owners hundreds of millions of dollars a year."

As for Boehringer Ingelheim, the maker of this vaccine, it is a company that has been

nailed for fraud in the human health care arena where the penalties are steep and the law is clear. 

Do I trust their medicine?  I do.  

Do I trust their marketing?  Not with a 10-foot pole.
