I don't believe in taking the dew claws from dogs, terriers especially, as I've noted that they use them for digging and fighting. When asked by common types I just tell them that if you remove the dew claws they will never develop opposable thumbs and won't be able to take over the world. If they press the subject I also inform them that their honor student is only a pawn in my Jack Russells plot for world domination. Then I wander off singing the theme song to Pinky and the Brain.
