These came today -- a new Yoho trapper's trowel and a trapper's hoe. The latter is very heavy and solid. Both from PCS Outdoors.
My old trowel handle broke, and the hoe came apart too. I got over ten years of work out of three bucks worth of tools found at a store on the way to the beach, however, so not bad value! These new tools are a little more expensive, and little more solid, and so they should last even longer.
The fluorescent paint is so I don't bury them or forget them at a dig. I've done that before! Next, I will attach parachute cord so they can be clipped to the pack.
