Love is a Participatory Sport

Happy Fourth

Try to get out in field or forest. Walk a creek bottom. Visit a local park. Spend 15 minutes just watching a river or the waves on the beach. Eat at a very local place, and take a picture of it before it is gone.

For just 15 minutes today, love America beyond the mall or the parking lot.

Breathe in the greatness of this land and pledge to pass it on with love and respect to future generations.

And eat a hot dog. For god's sake, eat a hot dog! It's the Fourth of July!

  1. Managed to walk the creek bottom, look at the mountains and the prairies, find some great mud and a new place to dig cattails -- my America is pretty awesome. My dogs think so too.
