Hooded Crow

This is the bird I took a few pictures of as it flew off the ruins in Rome.

This is a hooded crow, and not a bird I remember seeing before. To be clear, this is not the bird I saw; this picture is from the Internet. While I took a few pictures with my real camera, I have no way of getting them off of there until I get home to a real computer. I am blogging by IPhone!

  1. You don't have them where you live? :o Here in Scandinavia they are the "common crow" that we see everywhere.

  2. No. We have only black crows of two kinds that are identical as far as I can tell. The farthest west they get in Europe appears to be Italy or so. I know we did not have them in North Africa when I lived there, and I never saw them in France or Spain or Switzerland that I recall. A handsome bird!
