This lovingly restored and colorfully-painted truck hides a sad story: back "in the day" most pound dogs were drowned in cages, or were shot, or were asphyxiated with car exhaust. In fact the "gas chambers" used in Nazi Germany were lifted whole cloth from the world of dogs.
