Your Map Lesson of the Day



Africa can fit all of the U.S, plus China, plus India, plus Japan, plus most of Western and Eastern Europe. And the reason you do not know that is that maps lie.

    That image of the continent of Africa is one of my very favourites. It's been an aid to so much actual... thought.

    And I agree with Seahorse -- I shouldn't have missed The West Wing. Ah well, in DVDs we trust.

    If you have Amazon Prime and a Kindle, The West Wing is free as are a lot of other great shows (Downton Abbey, MI-5, Doc Martin. Sherlock, Foyle's War, Inspector Lewis, etc. I LOOOOOVE my Kindle.
