Mark Knopfler - Brothers in Arms

This was in Berlin, 2007.

These mist covered mountains
Are a home now for me
But my home is the lowlands
And always will be
Some day you'll return to me
Your valleys and your farms
And you'll no longer burn
To be brothers in arms

Through these fields of destruction
Baptisms of fire
I've witnessed all your suffering
As the battle raged higher
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms
.

  1. There is not enough time in life to revisit all the things discarded in an earlier time. Thanks for bringing this one around again, as I realize I'd not been paying proper attention the first time around.

Mark is really pretty great. I love dire strats and I cant even fathom how he plays some of the things he does without a pick. Great post keep up the hard work. Check these out IStillGotMyGuitar.
