Gassing the Rats, 1931


From the July 1931 edition of Modern Mechanix we learn how to use a Model T Ford to kill off rats down on the farm.

    My grandfather said that when he was a boy a man would come around with a bunch of terriers in his truck to "clean out the barn". Sort of the same idea as the Model T--seal up the holes, put in the terriers, come back later... would have been pre 1920s, the car thing is so much more ...modern.
