It's always amusing to me when people try to denigrate science by saying scientists too often start with hunches, prejudices or wild guesses. In fact, as theoretical nuclear physicist, bongo player, and safe-cracker extrodinaire Richard Feynman notes, ALL science starts with a guess. This is science 101. Watch the whole thing.
