Catfish, Kansas River, 1896

This is a picture of Jake Washington and Abe Burns (right) and their 90 and 110 lb catfish taken from the Kansas River in 1896.  And yes, I am pretty sure Abe and I are related because I not only used to have that beard, I am pretty sure I had that hat as well!

    That's a cool photo. I was actually searching the web for big catfish pictures and came across this. In the catfish community we 'hear' all the time about the monsters that used to exist in the rivers, but this is the first photo I've ever seen of some of them!
