Terrier Work Down Under

A little terrier work from Australia with shovel, cross-bred fox terrier and side-by-side.   The full story, and more pictures, can be found here.

The good news is that on this farm they have embraced terrier work for species protection and farm balance rather than the dreaded poison 1080.

  1. I wish there had been a few more pictures of Pete - a REAL Fox Terrier! It is sad that the Fox Terrier of today couldn't make it down a foxhole if its life depended on it...

  2. The government in Australia is actively encouraging the use of livestock guardian dogs and has recently published an online manual here:

Hard copies are available and I should be receiving mine shortly.
