Freshlyground :: Chicken to Change

Freshlyground is a South African band.

"Chicken to Change" is a song about Robert Mugabe, the President of next-door-neighbor Zimbabwe, which was once a prospering country (and will be again under the right leadership).

The song basically calls Mugabe a punk chicken who is terrified of change and is leading his country down the path to destruction.

It is as nice a song as can be sung about Mugabe, who is a tyrannical despot who should be shot dead.

But, of course, in Zimbabwe it is against the law to criticized Mugabe, so Freshlyground (which wrote and performed the official World Cup song) have been banned from that country.

Buy their CD in order to encourage the next voice demanding Robert Mugabe's ouster!
