Selling to the Sane as a Political Strategy?

Former Georgia Governor and current gubernatorial candidate Roy Barnes says some of the ideas offered up by state Republicans -- like talk of secession and a bill to ban microchip implants in the brain -- are making Georgia a joke and costing the state jobs.

"A governor can create jobs by selling the advantages of Georgia to firms looking for a home," the ad says, but "we can't bring jobs to Georgia with the rest of the country laughing at us."

Chris Matthews called this a novel political ad because it "appeals to the people that are not crazy."

  1. Good heavens, a sane grownup talking quietly and logically. Is there hope for the country after all?
