Jacques Cousteau Would Have Been 100
Jacques Cousteau would have been 100 yesterday. He was not just "the guy on TV" showing us the sea (in 120 films); he was also a decorated war hero, the co-inventor (with Émile Gagnan) of the first commercially available aqualung, an author of 50 books, pioneer photographer, and a voice for the environment that still lives in the 50,000 member Cousteau Society, which is headquartered in Hampton, Virginia. .
