The Dinosaurs Will Inherit the Earth

From Wikipedia:

The Red-billed Quelea (Quelea quelea) is the world's most abundant bird species (excluding domesticated species), with an estimated adult breeding population of 1.5 billion. It is a small passerine bird of the weaver family Ploceidae, native to sub-Saharan Africa.

You will notice the caveat, "excluding domesticated species."

That's in there because chickens are actually the most common bird species on earth, with about 25 billion across the globe.

  1. My "prediction" for the earth is in the near future there will be catastrophic vulcanism or maybe global warming will do it, but the human population will crash and it will not recover. It will stay relatively small because habitat that would be essential for humans will be limited. Evolution will select out different species from different kingdoms of life and maybe birds and forms like them will become ascendant. Much parallel evolution. Maybe the oceans will have more diversity than the land. I'm not sure that the oceans do not now have more or less diversity.
We will be like any other species and continue our evolution and it might be fun imagining what will come of us morphologically and where on the prey- predator scale will we be??
