People in Yosemite: A TimeLapse Study from Steven M. Bumgardner on Vimeo.
This is a time-lapse clip of people visiting Yosemite National Park.
More than 3.5 million people visit Yosemite each year, but most of them only spend time in seven square miles of the Valley, while ignoring the other 1,100 square miles of the Park. There is something wrong when you have to reserve your camping spot with Ticketron.

I'd be back in the Yosemite backcountry, except that my dogs are verboten there.
You can drag in dozens of horses, goats, llamas -- but not a highly trained dog.
We visit a lot of national forests; notsomuch the national parks. The last time Perfesser Chaos and I backpacked a national park was less than a week before we got our Lilly. That was Isle Royale, which at least has a good reason for the blanket no pets rule.
In Yosemite, people can wander around the Valley with their coyote bait yapping away, but no dogs allowed on the trails. I haven't been there for 21 years.
