Mad Scientist Makes a Cerberus



Did you like the story of Sergei Bryukhonenko, the Soviet scientist who reanimated dead dogs?

If so, you'll love his protégé, Vladimir Demikhov, who in 1954 grafted a second head onto a living dog.

A nice clip of the two-headed dog walking around and eating some food from a plate can be seen in the clip, above. More clips from his experiments can be found here.

The song is Twisted, most famously covered by Joni Mitchell, but written (and done before her) by Annie Ross in 1959. Someone by the name of Kathy Simpson is doing the cover below, and I think she's very good!

  1. I don't know about that host dog feeling "rejuvenated" as was mentioned on the other site. It looks pretty miserable to me. Overall, pretty weird stuff!
