The deer are unbelievably densely populated in my part of West Virginia. The risk they pose is exacerbated with winding roads that have lots of blind curves that are very often covered in dense brush. The deer just appear, and you hit them!
ReplyDeleteI remember when this came out last year, and everyone thought, "Well, duh!"
I bet if you go to Central and Northern West Virginia and ask 50 random people if they have hit a deer with their cars, you won't find more than one or two who haven't.
Thanks for the info. My part of Iowa must be worse, because I know few people who go more ten years without hitting a deer.
ReplyDeleteI spent four years driving the length of Mississippi on a regular basis. I never hit a deer, but the carnage was plentiful. The odds surely would have caught up to me sooner or later even though I kept to the interstates.
