This was the first Canada Goose nest we have come across this season. Geese will charge a human, but take to the water when they see a 12-pound terrier. A human will retreat; a terrier, a fox, and a coyote will not. The dogs, of course, do not really care about geese; they are too busy hunting for groundhogs, possum, coon and fox. Priorities!
