Gratuitous Mushroom Picture
Anyone want to take an identification guess on this one?
Maryland, spring, on standing dead wood, the size of my palm. Not a pleurotus. I assume this is gilled, though I did not really look. These were a bit blown, and were holding water in their caps.

ReplyDeleteI've GOT to get a new fungus book. I still have the one I got in college (yes, I took a course), but clearly Orson K. Miller, Jr.'s "Mushrooms of North America" is not going to do it anymore.
