Canine Madness on the Couch

Canine restless leg syndrome, combined with a small personality disorder, creates madness on the couch.

I absolutely hate that video! I've seen it before on those funny video shows. It appears to be a dog that has been teased far too often and is frustrated. Behavior that should not be encouraged or tolerated, much less instigated.

Wild speculation, I think. Some dogs are simply stupid and twitchy and also have personality disorders.

If the dog growled because *something else* was poking him, you would have a point, but this is the dog's own foot poking him. Do you think this is the only time this has happened? And they just happend to have a camera rolling?

More likely, this is simple involuntary muscular contraction of the leg -- a common enough thing in all animals (humans have it too, or Requip would not be doing such a land-office business).

That said, it only an extremely STUPID dog that will not soon figure out it is biting at its own foot, and it is only a dog with a personality disorder that will bite or growl if its bone is taken away (food possessiveness).

So are we laughing at a stupid dog with a personality disorder that also had restless leg syndrome?

    You betcha!

Thank God we can still laugh at the animals! (God knows they laugh at us).
