And I think less successful people should have fewer.

I am not an Al Gore/Global Warming fan-boy. But by all accounts he is a rational, successful, emotionally regulated human being. And by all accounts Tipper is a fabulous person.

The current system is analogous to puppy mills. The dogs that did not sell become factories for producing progeny. IQs of 85 and sliding.

The comments about educated women delaying child-bearing, and thus having reduced fertility levels is spot-on. Sadly, this becomes a case of intelligent, motivated people removing themselves from the gene pool. Darwin must be shaking his head.

If you are serious about saving the earth, provide food stamps for the first two children an "entitled" woman has. Then remove benefits for each subsequent child.

The fact that it seems so easy for academics to bash guys like Al, and avoid policy changes that would actually make a difference, suggests that their energy is at least partially driven by envy. It is easy to have compassion for people you feel sorry for, that is, people you feel superior to. But you cannot have compassion for millionaires?Eaton Rapids Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09102166969915526172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7684843.post-9191306959487354152016-05-25T22:17:40.453-04:002016-05-25T22:17:40.453-04:00This is an excellent way of getting the message ac...This is an excellent way of getting the message across. I used to give lectures on the subject in biology college classes - afterwards, inevitably, a crowd of students would stay after. They were all very upset at the bleakness the future seems to hold. They'd always ask if there is any way out. At this point, we'd moved from science to opinion so I'd give mine. The education of women. Population growth is entirely dependent on the female of the species in almost every case (the assumption is males can mate many times while females are limited by gestation, etc.). Unlike Tipper's choices, most educated women put off child bearing (increasing generation interval) and have fewer children. Keeping girls in school might very well save the planet.Heather Hawkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16098673743504191567noreply@blogger.com
