Digging on the Dogs

The day started off in a drizzle, but we proceeded forward and the rain stopped, and it even got a warmer after the first mile through forest and field.  The beans were cut off the fields sometime last week, so things looked pretty groomed.

Moxie found this groundhog just inside the forest, but we let all the dogs take turns working it as both my pups are as green as grass, and one of John's dogs has never seen a thing.

Bottom line:  groundhog located, dirt moved, no injuries, and the sette was nicely repaired. Mr. Fox or Mr. Coyote will dine well tonight -- this was the same strip of hedge I found a large coyote skeleton in back in March.

The day ended as all days should -- with coffee and good conversation.
