Glenn Campbell Sings of Alzheimers
Glenn Campbell is now in a nursing home in the last stages of Alzheimer's. He knew it was coming, and this was one of his last songs. Self-aware, eyes forward, into the mist.
This is all the more saddening to those of us of a certain age. Glen was not only a CW icon but a TV personality of rare talent. But he is only a few years older than us. He represents a public face for those of us and those we know who suffer from debilitating diseases. Yet he continued on as long as he was able showing a heroic spirit. I honor you Mr. Campbell. Maybe you didn't fight a war when your were young but you are now battling a horrific enemy. Be at peace.
