Sasquatch Killed in Montana

A Sasquatch was killed in Montana, run over by a car.

A man dressed in a military-style “Ghillie suit” who was attempting to provoke a Bigfoot sighting was struck by two vehicles and killed on U.S. 93 South of Kalispell Sunday night.

“He was trying to make people think he was Sasquatch so people would call in a Sasquatch sighting,” Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jim Schneider said. “You can’t make it up. I haven’t seen or heard of anything like this before. Obviously, his suit made it difficult for people to see him.”

This last week in Britain, there was a scare caused by photographs of what was claimed to be a full-grown African lion. The photographs show an average-sized ginger domestic cat; it is sitting next to (and partly obscured by) a field of wheat stubble and thus plainly cannot be more than about 6 inches tall when lying down.

The witnesses are however very vocal about the animal being huge, and definitely a lion. Other witnesses have come forwards to claim to have heard roaring noises at night; all are convinced that they saw Panthera leo in a field.

Yet, the photograph is of a domestic moggy. Witness evidence is clearly therefore of extremely little value. I am therefore moved to wonder how many supposed bigfoot sightings are in fact of deer hunters quietly moving about in the pursuit of deer, oblivious of being watched.

re, the thread about big cat sightings in the uk.two such events spring to mind,a lynx was shot by a gamekeeper at witchingham near norwich.he kept the dead animal in his freezer and an ocelot was shot on the isle of wight again the dead animal was kept.going back to the lynx, a workmate of mine swore blind he had seen one near the airbase at marham norfolk.in fact he was so close to it he could see the tufts on its ears.so they do exist here

Animals are imported as pets (legal and illegal) of course, and as dead animals for taxidermy as well. Small cats are easiest, but there are no wild breeding populations which would require two animals, in the same location, of opposite sex, and of the same species, and a period of time for them to be in the wild together (most wild animals have a single estrus cycle). The Witchingham lynx is an amimal discovered read in a freezer and with a very shaky provenance. Discovered during a raid of a "collector" and taxidermist in 2003, it was said to have been shot in 1991. Was the animal shot in Europe or Canada or the US and smuggled in? Easy enough to do and truckers are moving illegal stuff all the time. If you want a bear, cougar, bobcat, coyote or wolf skin, we in the
US are only too happy to sell them! We also have ocelots, African lions, servals, and juaguars for sale -- alive or dead and at very reasonable prices. See here for more background >>
