America's Smallest Warrior

Military Working Dog Lars, the Jack Russell Terrier, being handed down into a submarine to do his duty, on assignment sniffing out bombs in submarines. Originally slated to be a drug-sniffing dog, Lars became a bomb dog due to a mix-up at dog school. US Navy Photo by Petty Officer Second Class Paul D. Williams. Source

There are lots of Terriers and smaller dogs at work for the USA. There was a Rat Terrier at 911, but never got noticed. Our Littlest Warriors are as big as the Labradors and Malinois on the inside.

The dog trainer I'm working with, who has trained bomb sniffing dogs and breeds Malinois and Bouviers, has said more than once of my two terriers, "Never forget, these are big dogs in small dog bodies." Never forget, and never underestimate!
