hehe - he covers positive reinforcement and clicker training. Let the chaos begin.

Ian Dunbar even? Did he finally decide that his way to fame might be to tag along and learn something from Cesar?

Interesting! I look forward to the book - I enjoy his writing style and practical approach to dog behavior. His books coupled with Patricia McConnell's are really all a pet owner needs, IMO.

Millan is a pretty forgiving guy, considering what's been written about him on Dunbar's hyperventilating, anti-Cesar blog. And the trainer I worked with to train my dog essentially used the Sirius Puppy Training method, but with the addition of humane corrections.

What? No drowning your puppy because it barked too much? No kicking it upside the head if it pulls on the leash?

Where's the fun in all that sissy "humane" stuff?

Rah rah Koehl--er?

My snark is getting the better of me in too many ways!

In all seriousness, I do like how the book focuses on "The most popular training techniques," rather than ones that use both "The most popular training techniques" along with well-timed aversives.

Although something tells me that the whole "Discipline" part of Cesar's EDA mantra will take care of a part of that.

D'oh, who wrote that message with my name attached to it?

I mean, "In all seriousness, I'm amused by how the book focuses on..."

"What's popular is not always right," etc etc
