The best we can figure, my Shorty is a JR/Dachsund mix. She looks like your dogs, but lower and longer. And she's ruled this roost for the past 11 years.

I found her on the street when she was about 4-6 months old. She jumped up into my car and faced down Monkey, a 3 yo Dobie, right there in my lap. She was only 10 lbs of snarling spittle, but she assumed command at that time, and has stayed in control of up to a dozen dogs at a time. She humps all of my dogs, mostly pitbulls, except for Scruffy, a Shih-Tzu/Dachsund mix.

I could go on & on, but I won't. I like this blog because it showcases Shorty's JR heritage, and because I can imagine that if we lived in the woods of N Virginia (Like I did almost 40 years ago) we'd be hunting ground quarry just like you and yours.
