Groundhog Buried In and Fending Off



This is why groundhogs are tough - - they have skulls as thick as a skillet, no necks, and when the dog catches up to them underground, they are likely to burried with nothing but chisel-like teeth facing out. This picture was found on a wayward camera chip in my truck -- I'm not sure when I took it.

Check out the angry little gopher my cat caught. I really admire these spunky creatures, even as I eradicate them from the garden.
